Just been confirmed that I am off to Adelaide next October to do a week’s intensive teaching: Biblical Literacy and Communication in a Digital World, 17-21 October 2011. The programme for the whole year is a bit daunting. How do these places get such wonderful people (myself excepted) to come and teach for them – a month after me John and Olive Drane are out there teaching too. I wouldn’t mind going to listen to all the units myself, but its not quite round the corner.
Evidently, it would be good to set up some other lecturing opportunities while I am over there, as it seems a long way to go for just a few days in Adelaide. So if anyone knows of any lecturing opportunities or if anyone would like to invite me to speak in Australia, I’d be glad of some invites! The issue is of course, that I’ll think it’s all next door and then go and find there are thousands of miles to travel! Ooh, New Zealand - is there a passenger ferry between Adelaide/Sydney and Auckland or is it just the suspension bridge?
T-minus 13 months! Packing shall begin!
Pete
